Thought I’d start off my first post with a photo I shot of my friend Bert. This new blog will be home to daily updates from skate missions to random phone photos, interviews and good times. I’m thinking of this as blog 2.0 or something like that….. Like the old blog but not ? Hmm… we’ll see where this goes.
If you ever find yourself in Toronto on the 24th of this month, stop by this show! I have a piece in there as well as some work from couple friends of mine! Should be a good time knowing those crazy Canadians!
Some motorbike action with my good buddy Hinch.
It is never fun watching someone slam really hard. Yesterday Dan took one to the ribs after trying to Bruce Lee himself out of a dire situation. I’ve seen this same scene play out much worse, but luckily for Dan he came out more or less unscathed.
A much more notable skate photog , once compared the act of gardening to the act of skateboarding. More specifically to shooting skateboarding. I always thought his words were rad and for some reason they stuck in my brain. For me skateboarding is much like fishing. Sometimes you get skunked and other days you bring in the haul and mount that sucker on your wall. Through good days and bad, best just keep moving forward looking for that trophy.

A little extra help from time to time is never a bad thing. After hauling sheets of wood up and down stairs and eventually tossing them onto a roof top, then setting up for the photo I was feeling a bit burnt knowing it all has to come right back down. Luckily these locals came in to save the day and my back once we decided to call it for the day. I always get stoked meeting the next generation of shredders, and these kids were no exception. Funny how this wooden toy can bridge the gaps between the many generations of weirdos’ who take joy in it’s existence .

Having this been my first time skating an actual pool, I feel pretty lucky that this one was my first. A good group of dudes and a setting California sun made this mini session nothing less than epic!
